The Agency has expanding its footing with the acquisition of the newcomer Province office.

It is the lower North Shore agency run by father son team, Kingsley Yates and Nicholas Yates.

Early last month there were whispers a small father-son LNS office was set to be snapped up by the burgeoning ASX-listed, The Agency.

Last October the veteran agent Kingsley Yates departed the Ray White group ending his three decade long franchise association due to "differing directions."

They will move their Neutral Bay, Mosman and Crows Nest client base to The Agency next Saturday.

The deal includes the office’s rent roll of about 1200 properties, which takes The Agency’s total to about 5000.

Peter Matthews will be taking on the role of Director of Strategy & Operations nationally with The Agency. Drawing on his 25 years of industry experience and former roles as Chief Operating Officer of Ray White NSW, General Manager of Real Estate Services Domain and CEO of Province.

The Agency has transacted more than $200 million of real estate since opening in February.

The Agency has a corporate goal of 600 agents in 12 blue chip locations by 2020.

Matt Lahood says The Agency, which is backed by Ausnet and the Finsure Group, will be adding 40 agents over winter.

Former Marshall White director Peter Kakos is heading the Melbourne office.
