Former Noni B co-chief executive David Kindl has spent $5.85 million on Balaclava, the Kirribilli trophy home.

Considered one of Kirribilli's most distinguished homes, the 1880s Victorian sits in customer landscaped grounds designed by Peter Fudge.

The four bedroom home with refined formal entertaining areas comes with harbour glimpses from the upper levels and rooftop terrace.

It has been restored since it last traded for $3.21 million in 2011.

McGrath agent Nigel Mukhi sold the home.

Kindl had previously been the managing director at fashion retailer Noni B before selling to a private investment group Alceon Group for $16.4 million in 2014.

He is now the chairman of the Retail Doctor Group advisory board.

Members of the Kindl family founded Noni B in 1977.

David and wife Margaret have now listed their Wahroonga home that cost them $2.1 million in 2002.

They renovated the five bedroom home that comes with a swimming pool and tennis court on a separate title.
