The pro surfer and former Quiksilver boss Bruce Raymond and his wife Janice have sold their Clareville trophy home for about $9 million.

The sale came just weeks after relisting it with reduced $9.5 million hopes.

With views to the north up Pittwater to Lion Island, it had last traded in 2004 for $6.05 million.

The couple had then added the boat house and jetty.

The house had been designed by architect Sean Gartner for Benwarin Wines owners Allan and Janneke Bagley.

The 1330 sq m Hudson Parade holding on the tip of Taylors Point initially came with hopes of setting a $13 million plus suburb record.
