The Port Douglas trophy home market is gathering pace with two multi-million dollar sales in a week.

The award-winning Tanamera sold after being passed in at auction at $3.25 million with Queensland Sotheby's agent Michael Vettoretto.

Set on the exclusive Island Point Road, the home had been offered at $9.25 million in 2013. It had last traded as a 2023 sqm parcel for $900,000 in 2001.

The Singapore-based owners Timothy and Jacqueline Madley spent four years designing and building the three level mansion.

They drew inspiration from years of travel across Asia and East Africa. The couple had never lived in the home.

Completed in the early 2000s, the four bedroom home is built into Flagstaff Hill on the highest vantage point in Port Douglas, offering panoramic views of Four Mile Beach to the Daintree Hills.

It features a tree house parent retreat with spa pool

The sale comes after Melbourne based property developer Michael Yates sold his Port Douglas trophy home for $6.8 million.
