Ian Moore, The Clean Energy Finance Corporation board member, is selling his eco-friendly home, Coorabell Dreaming, in the hinterland of northern New South Wales.

Designed by local Byron Bay architect Sam Zaher, the three-bedroom house sits 100 metres above sea level.

It boasts 180 degree uninterrupted views over the Myocum Valley to the ocean.

The Byron Bay property at 970 Coolamon Scenic Drive is completely off the grid, relying on a 45 solar panel system, a battery bank and a back-up generator too.

The home has double glazing. There is multi-layered insulation to further minimise energy consumption.

It also comes with a 14,000 tree rainforest plantation.

There are two 45,000 litre water tanks.

Moore, who considers himself an “economic green” and his wife, Di, spend most of their time in their Sydney home.

Unique Estates have it with a price guide of $4.2 million.
