A forested NSW house at Barkers Vale has been listed with a price guide of $500,000 to $550,000.

Located at 88 Twin Pines Road, the 101 acre property offers a retreat with two dwellings with Mount Burrell as the backdrop.

Referred to as 'Stonehenge' by locals due to the sandstone quarry, there is an abundance of usable stone and mill able timber for those who like natural buildings.

There are two buildings available only 500 metres from the quarry.

The first one is a open plan timber cottage with veranda, there is the scope for extending the cottage and it is powered by a 1.5 kilowatt solar system as well as a rainwater tank.

The second building is a sculptor-built stone studio which overlooks magnolia and oak plantings.

It comes complete with loft/study and Mediterranean-style white washed interior walls, and doubles as a guest residence.

There is also an established mixed orchard of 100 trees offering fruits such as Chinese pear, lemon, limes, grapefruit, figs, avocado, mango and much more.
