Price records have been set regularly for prestige mansions in Strathfield in recent months, with the latest listing by Sanity boss Ray Itaoui and his wife Rachel another possible contender.

They have listed their Frank Lloyd-Wright inspired mansion.

Set on 2,024 sqm and surrounded by lush gardens, the family entertainer with 780 sqm of indoor living has six bedrooms, five bathrooms and a central courtyard.

A fully equipped outdoor alfresco entertaining area overlooks a heated swimming pool and all weather flood lit tennis court.

Guest accommodation on the ground floor comes with an ensuite, home office and additional study, while the upstairs master suite comprises an ensuite, private balcony and dressing room.

The couple are off to Vaucluse where they paid $47.8 million for Carrara, the beachfront reserve property they bought from global financier Andrew Ipkendanz last year.

Spanning over 2000 sqm of internal living space, the three level harbourfront home has nine bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, an office, guest quarters, home theatre, his and hers changing rooms and a 20 metre swimming pool.

Georges Ellis & Co Strathfield agent Joseph Georges has set a May 13 auction.

The current record stands at $8.41 million in an off-market last year.

The suburb record that has been broken three time in the last 12 months.

The $6.8 million suburb record, that had stood since 2014, was topped in May last year on Newton Road sold for $6,825,000 then again in September when a Llandilo Avenue home sold for $7.3 million.

The $8.41 million was for an Agnes Street home which sat a smaller parcel without a tennis court.
