Victorian Premier's literary award winner Peggy Frew and husband, Dirty Three musician Michael Turner, are selling in Californian bungalow in Brunswick.

The home has been renovated and extended by award-winning architect Lucy Tibbets since the couple paid $960,000 in 2009.

Set on 850 sqm, one of the largest landholdings in the suburb, the solid-brick home combines elegant period details with an inner-urban family style.

There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms in the single-level home which features a landscaped north-facing backyard with bluestone-paved entertaining area.

More than $2 million is being sought by Nelson Alexander agent Duncan McPherson at its March 4 auction.

Frew won the Victorian Premier's literary award in 2010 for her debut novel House of Sticks.
