Citimark Properties project manager Lee Crisp is selling his renovated Mermaid Beach property.

The home is at 28 Seaside Avenue.

Crisp is overseeing the Hercules apartment development at Hamilton in Brisbane.

He purchased what was an old 1960s-style three-bedroom beach cottage with his wife, Cassie in 1996 for $227,500.

The two-storey house now has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a study, parking for two cars, a swimming pool, outdoor entertainment area and landscaped gardens.

Luke Henderson from John Henderson Professionals Mermaid Beach said the renovation was a testament to Mr Crisp’s years of experience in the property industry including the reused existing timber from the original cottage on floors in the main living areas.

Other recycled timber includes timber from a railway bridge in western Queensland to create the pillars that frame the large undercover patio at the rear of the home.

“The result is that they have created a fantastic, spacious, modern beachside home that harks back to days gone by.”

Mr Henderson said the property was in one of the most desirable streets in Mermaid Beach.

The property is scheduled to go under the hammer on January 24 during the Henderson’s Hot Summer Auctions event at Mermaid Beach Bowls Club.

The avenue has had two sales above $1.7 million.
