A palatial near beachfront Western Australian home in Dunsborough has been listed for just shy of $5 million.

Set on 763 sqm just off the shores of Geographe Bay, the 2010 built home won the Master Builders Association for the best contract home.

The first floor includes a gym and home office with external access, with the second floor featuring a wine cellar, the master suite and a balcony offering ocean views.

It last traded before its rebuild for $2.8 million in 2008.

The residential record in Dunsborough was set last year when a four bedroom beachfront home sold for $4,675,000.
