Be Happy Healthy owner and model Lara Boielle has paid $920,000 for an Art Deco apartment in Tamarama.

The one bedroom, one bathroom apartment in the Stonehaven complex is just 300 metres from the beach.

The unit offers bright lofty interiors, lounge and dining areas and a separate sun room.

It had a buyers guide of between $800,000 - $875,000 through McGrath Edgecliff agent Bethwyn Richards. The apartment had previously sold in 2007 for $515,000.

Boielle, who models for Chadwick's, is a qualified naturopath, nutritionist and herbalist.

She owns Be Happy Healthy Nutrition, a nutrition and naturopathy treatment business based in Bondi Beach.

The apartment was bought from the recently appointed editor-in-chief of The Australian Women’s Weekly, Kim Doherty (nee Wilson) and her husband, Walkley-winning Guardian Australia journalist Ben Doherty who traded up to a $2.7 million Bondi home better suited to the family with two year old daughter, Molly.

The 1920s Federation-style semi with ocean views was bought off-market, which was the big trend in property sales this year.

Doherty was named as the new editor-in-chief of AWW in February, taking over from her former boss Helen McCabe.
