10 bidders seek to snap up Byron Bay holiday home

Orthopaedic surgeon Gordon Slater’s former holiday home at Byron Bay has been sold for $6.2 million to a Victorian family.
Located at 158 Lighthouse Road, the property was sold mortgagee-in-possession after the surgeon’s Byron Bay Cookie Company went into receivership three years ago.
Selling agent Ian Daniels from McGrath said he had received 10 registered bidders.
The property was listed with $4.7 million hopes.
