Former St Kilda star Lenny Hayes has listed his Brighton home.

The three-time All Australian midfielder is reportedly hoping for $2.25 million plus for the home that cost him $2,255,000 in 2010.

He's rented the three-bedroom home in recent years now he's working with the Greater Western Sydney AFL side.

Set on 714 square metres just three blocks from the beach, the 1920s home has a swimming pool and is advertised as having scope to renovate.

Hayes played 297 games for St Kilda, captained the club in 2004 and 2007 and played in the Saints' heartbreaking defeats in the 2009 and 2010 Grand Finals.

Kay & Burton's Michael Armstrong has scheduled a December 10 auction.
