Grandview goes to Glenvill Group chief executive
Glenvill Group chief executive Len Warson has emerged as the $9.4 million buyer of the trophy estate in Prahran’s prestigious Grandview Grove.
Grandview, the Prahran home of the Van Veenendaal family, was sold by Nicole Gleeson at Kay & Burton South Yarra.
She was seeking offers at $9 million plus when the marketing campaign turned into a three-way private boardroom auction battle for the Grandview Grove estate.
With wrought iron wrapped balconies, it last sold $1.33 million for the 1895 six bedroom home in 1995.
Set on 1676 sqm on one of Prahran's more prestigious tree-lined streets, the estate features a heated 17 metre swimming pool and a floodlit tennis court.
The neighbour's had sold their renovated home recently for $12 million plus.
His recent $7.15 million Federation era home on Clowes Street, South Yarra was listed for sale last week.
