A luxury home in Leonay has set a suburb record selling for $1.615 million after just nine days on the market.

Twelve groups of buyers were shown through the property and three made offers on the four-bedroom house at 168 River Road.

The price record was previously a $1.2 million sale at 156 River Road last November. 

The recent sale home had been listed with Andrew Reeves and Elizabeth Spanos from One Agency Reeves Properties Penrith with a $1.55 million to $1.65 million price guide.

It sold to buyers from Glenmore Park.

The house won a Master Builders Award in 2006.
