One new property has been added to the Top Ten Nationwide Discounted Properties list by SQM Research, this one in Western Australia.

SQM Research managing director Louis Christopher said the commodities downturn means several of the properties are in WA, as the mining downturn depresses demand for property there.

"House and unit prices have been falling for some time in Perth," he said.

"Despite the buoyancy in east coast property markets, Victorian properties also appear on the list, including one in the Docklands and another in the small Victorian township of Tooradin which has a fully functioning Greyhound kennel - brave buyers from NSW may be interested in this one. "
