Artist George Tzikas has sold his heritage Fitzroy House to move to Venice.

The Georgian 302 Gore Street passed in at $2.22 million with Nelson Alexander agent Arch Staver securing a higher undisclosed price.

The four bedroom house had price hopes of about $2.5 million.

Another recent Gore Street offering was sold under the auction hammer for $1.44 million.

The two-bedroom balcony terrace at 190 Gore reached its on-the-market price at $1.26 million.

The four bidders drove the price to $1.44 million.
