A commercial land site round the corner from The Block apartments in Port Melbourne has sold for $5.1 million.

The sale shows the strength of the Port Melbourne market. The Block paid $5.025 million for the property with huge 2533 sqm warehouse in December.

Comprising 977 sqm, 550 Williamstown Road came with a permit for 33 apartments with a ground floor commercial space.

It last traded for $3.425 million in 2014. CBRE Victoria agents Josh Rutman, Julian White and Mark Wizel secured the sale.

The property is currently a 500sqm showroom/warehouse which has been listed for rent through CBRE Melbourne agent Guy Naseli.

The warehouse with roller door access offers an internal office.

A vacant land parcel that sold for $2.055 in Port Melbourne last week set a suburb record for per sqm.
