The ever tanned television weatherman Tim Bailey didn't have to wait long to achieve a quick spring selling season result for his Elanora Heights home.

It has been sold within two weeks of listing for $1.8 million.

The popular Network Ten weatherman has owned the three storey home with wife Sam since 2009 when they paid $1 million.

There's not many properties which offer views over a lake, plus the ocean, a beach and a headland.

The living space is on the top floor and accommodation on the lower level of the home that has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a number of outdoor entertaining areas.

There's undercover decking and an pool in the back yard.

Inspectees noted the avid surfer didn't hide his passion with a surfboards aplenty.

Duane Hunter and Charlie Chedid at Hunter Estate Agents Elanora Heights secured the sale for Bailey who hails from Hobart.

He started a career as a journalist with the Hobart Mercury newspaper before heading to the Gold Coast.

In 1990 he became a TV reporter on Network Ten for Good Morning Australia with Kerri-Anne Kennerley and the late Mike Gibson.

He was made Ten's weather presenter in 1996 presenting the weather on-location around New South Wales towns for TEN's News at Five.

Tim and Sam, who have previously owned at Manly, Narrabeen and the entrance, aren't likely to move far.

Though they announced earlier this year that they are set to open their own holiday villas in the Cook Islands.
