The Fingal Head, NSW home of North coast architect Paul Uhlmann and his wife, Rebecca, owner of wedding floral specialists Rose Apple Flowers, has been listed for sale.

It comes with $2.5 million hopes with the couple planning to head into the hinterland.

Their five-bedroom property is a split-level house, completed in 2008, that takes full advantage of its setting on a peninsula between river and ocean.

The award-winning architect's house was designed around a northern outdoor space in its “L” shaped layout with plenty of louvre windows for ventilation.

Around $1 million was spent building the home after the 500 sqm block cost $900,000.

The Bambery Street home is listed with Sophie Carter of Sophie Carter Exclusive Properties who are marketing it as just a short drive to the beaches of Kingscliff, Casuarina and Coolangatta.

Uhlmann has been in practice for three decades.
