Radio's Sam Frost outbid on Clovelly apartment
Title TattleDecember 7, 2020

A six month search for an coastal eastern suburbs apartment by 2DayFM breakfast radio personality Sam Frost looks like spilling into 2017.

She was spotted as an underbidder on a Clovelly apartment at a recent auction.

Frost was first sighted at an open for inspection back in August in Bondi, looking for a two bedroom apartment.

It seems it will be a crash pad more for her than her Bachelor beau, Sasha Mielczarek who's enthiastically drafting plans for their family home in the Southern Highlands.

Indeed Sasha recently posted a picture of a small balcony being overlooked in an apartment complex on Twitter, suggesting a high density cookie cutter Sydney apartment lifestyle isn't for him.

"The thing I love about #Sydney is that there's plenty of space, always a good view and no one can see into your apartment! #privacyfordays," he facetiously tweeted.

Of course Sam has been a Bondi based renter after securing a spot co-hosting the breakfast radio show with Rove McManus, having previously been marketing co-ordinator at the Mornington Peninsula Gardens & Lifestyle Magazine.

Whispers mid-year from local agents suggested Sam would be happy with an apartment on the coast with a price of around $1.3 million.

However, Sam, who turned up at the recent Melrose Parade auction, didn't end up signing the deposit.

McGrath Coogee agent Mark McPherson had a price guide of $1.18 million, with the apartment eventually selling for $1,282,000 to a young guy, $100,000 over the guide.

Happy with the six percent annual price growth since its last sold, McPherson said he couldn't confirm Frost's interest.

The two bedroom, one bathroom apartment came with a east facing alfresco dining terrace that offers views over Clovelly Beach.

It came with a parking space, important for Sam and her shiny new Mini Cooper secured after she signed her radio presenting gig.

The couple, who found love on The Bachelorette, have recently secured a block of land in an upmarket Southern Highlands housing subdivision.

"We are very excited," Sam and Sasha told their social media followers after their purchase.

The building block on the outskirts of Bowral in the historic Retford Park Estate is ready for them to construct their family home.

"I love building and all things construction," Sasha said.

The now sold out lots had been priced between $365,000 and $810,000 through Savills Residential Projects.

The couple have been together since Sam chose the 33 year old Sasha while filming the reality TV series The Bachelorette last October.

Sasha manages a big building construction project at Nowra, with the couple regularly spotted relaxing at nearby Huskisson on Jervis Bay.

Sam is likely to be getting a few tips from Rove McManus on the eastern suburbs. He has settled in to his $6.4 million Bronte beach house he bought recently.
