Melbourne apartment sales down in August quarter: CoreLogic

2016 totalled $126.5 million, a decrease from the $178.9 million recorded to May 2016, and from the $314.9 million recorded to February 2016.
The latest data brings the twelve-month sales total to $851.4 million, a decrease from the previous 12 months, which recorded sales of $1.355 billion.
The table below shows sales recorded for the past eight updates of Melbourne Units Cityscope.
Some notable sales featured in the August 2016 update of Melbourne Units Cityscope include:
- Unit 14AB, Paramount Apartments, 100-116 Bourke Street, Melbourne, a 14th floor, sub-penthouse of 190 sqm plus six balconies which sold for $2.15 million;
- Unit 14, Sargood House, 73 Flinders Lane, (above) Melbourne, a two-bedroom plus study unit of 220 sqm, which sold for $2.027 million; and
- Unit 20S, The Georges Apartments, 166-186 Little Collins Street, Melbourne, a three-bedroom second floor unit of 166 sqm with terrace, which sold for $1.86 million.
