Lyon and wife Meg paid $1.4 million for the home in 2014 and renovated the riverfront home.

A lower level rumpus room flows onto the outdoor alfresco entertaining area which is accompanied by a landscaped yard and large fire pit.

McGrath Sutherland Shire agents Matthew Johnston and Jill Yankos had set a price guide of between $1.95 million and $2.05 million for its auction.

The opening bid was $1.85 million, just as a gust of wind blew the contract paperwork around the house at the indoor onsite auction.
