Former Coles boss John Fletcher and wife Noela have listed their Gold Coast penthouse on the pricey Hedges Avenue.

The couple have owned the apartment since 2007 when they paid $6.7 million.

Its private roof terrace has a 15 metre pool and spa.

It's listed with Harcourts Coastal agent Tolemy Stevens.

Fletcher is best known for running the supermarket giant from 2001 to 2007 before it was acquired by Wesfarmers.

He famously said he had not been in a supermarket for 25 years just before he took the top position.

Fletcher has recently been appointed chairman of ports operator DP World Australia.

The block's neighbouring 701/252 Hedges Avenue house-sized apartment that spans across 743sq m has also been listed.
