A dual-level apartment, the Array East Penthouse in Mirvac's Yarra's Edge precinct has won Apartment of the Year at the 2016 HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards.

The 425 square metre, four bedroom penthouse with terrace overlooking Melbourne's Yarra River included bespoke Versace, Fendi and Roberto Cavalli pieces and furniture created by illustrator Megan Hess, who styled the interior spaces.

John Carfi, Mirvac head of residential said the awards recognised the intelligence of Array’s design and Mirvac Design’s strong attention to detail.

“These awards are fantastic recognition of Array’s iconic design and the new level of quality, finish and customisation it offers,” he said.

“Inspired by the reflections of the Yarra River, Array was designed to offer a heightened level of luxury in the waterside area in response to purchaser demand for special apartments.”

Array’s lobby features a 250 square metre retail space, an art gallery and cafe. There is an onsite gym and lounge area with a Marina YE opposite.

Yarra Point at Yarra’s Edge was named the Australian Apartment Complex of the year in 2015.

Launching off-the-plan in 2012, the 39 level tower features 199 apartments in total, including the award winning East and West penthouses.
