A church conversion trophy home near Daylesford, Victoria is under offer.

Built in 1884 by Giacomo Sartori, it comes with a striking adjoining building next to the conversion.

The 2 Righetti Lane property is a former Catholic church that closed in 1993, then fell in to disrepair at Yandoit.

A local builder purchased and restored the property to its original grandeur, and added a two storey wing.

He retained the original features including gothic windows and high-beam ceilings.

The extension has three bedrooms and a handcrafted floating timber and steel staircase.

A large deck looks over the 2000 sqm land parcel.

The property is under offer through hockingstuart agents Mark Smith and Mark Timmins.

It was advertised with around $980,000 price expectations.
