Sam Burgess yet to sell off-the-plan apartment

No takers yet as NRL star Sam Burgess seeks to make a quick quid from his off-the-plan Bondi Beach apartment purchase.

It was quietly listed for sale mid-March, so Burgess has now approached the halfway mark for the typical 60 days time on market in the seaside suburb.

The furnished second floor apartment had been listed as he and wife, Phoebe are off to their newly purchased $3.8 million Maroubra home.

But only this week they were spotted still soaking up the sun at the popular beach as the summer heat and warm water remain.

There is no disclosed asking price on the two bedroom apartment in the Bondi Pacific but it is understood to be $2.95 million.

The property, listed through McGrath agents Edward Reid and Greg Golfin, has an outdoor terrace and even a small lawn.

The then man about town bought well in 2012 off the plan paying $2.065 million before he moved back to England, returning late last year to rejoin South Sydney Rabbitoh’s.

Burgess emerged as one of the buyers in the Bondi Pacific development when he settled in December, with resales now typically fetching anywhere between 30 percent to 50 percent more than initial purchase price.

However just weeks after Rabbitoh's star Sam Burgess moved into the new Bondi Pacific development with wife, Phoebe Hooke they bought a family home in Maroubra.

The four bedroom, three bathroom house comes with a sweeping marble staircase which leads to a large home theatre room.

Burgess had enjoyed a successful start to his comeback season, then lucky to escape a serious neck injury in the game against the Bulldogs.
