The highly credentialed APRA chairman Wayne Byres has upsized homes.

He sold his four bedroom, two bathroom Pymble family home after just ten days on the market having paid $2.9 million just across the road for a five bedroom, three bathroom 2000-built home.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority boss bought the property with wife, Rachel for $1.075 million in 2005, when the median price was approaching $1 million. The banking industry cop took a credit union mortgage in both purchases.

Jane Colyer of Chadwick Real Estate secured $2,225,000 with the suburb median now exceeding $2 million.

They added a solar heated chlorine swimming pool to the 670 sqm block.
