Melbourne rents edge higher: REIV

Median house rentals in metropolitan Melbourne , according to the REIV, increased slightly to $420 from $415 a week, while in regional Victoria, the weekly median rent for houses increased to $300 from $290 a week.

The REIV's rental market snapshot to February 2016 found the proportion of vacant properties remained stable over February in metro Melbourne at 3.1 percent and regional Victoria at 2.4 percent.
