The long-time home of the late rugby league legend Jack Gibson and his widow, Judy has been listed for May 18 auction.

It was in the Gibson family name since the vacant block was bought in 1967 for $9700.

Set on 753 sqm and spread over three levels, the family home has six bedrooms and three bedrooms.

The Cowra Place property comes with a rumpus room, billiards room and a home office.

Numerous outdoor entertaining areas and the saltwater swimming pool overlooks Salmon Haul Bay.

Highland Property listing agents David Highland and Mitchell Wynn are expecting bids from between $4 million to $4.4 million.

Gibson played over 120 games for the Eastern Suburbs but he will be most known for securing back to back premierships for the Roosters in 1974 and 1975 and then three in a row for Parramatta between 1981 and 1983.

A nearby Nicholson Parade property which Gibson built in 1955 sold for $2.15 million recently. It was his home until 1970.

He used the backyard to train with his Easts teammates, running drills and having them carrying sandstone blocks.
