Weekly rent across combined capital cities for the last year is at the lowest rate of appreciation since 1996, according to CoreLogic RP Data's February Hedonic Home Value Index.

According to CoreLogic RP Data, weekly rents fell 0.7 percent in Brisbane, Adelaide (-0.4 percent) with falls in Darwin (-13.3 percent) and Perth (-8.4 percent). 

Gross rental yieldshave stayed flat over the past month - 3.4% for houses and 4.3% for units.
