A Victorian trophy home has been listed in Kew.

The home at 18 Belmont Avenue in Kew has been in the same family for the last 43 years.

The most interest feature is the spectacular Italianate vaulted dome set in the middle of the property.

Added to the home in 1901 by a Scotsman in 1901 in memory of his wife, the dome was constructed by Italian artesian above what was originally an outdoor area.

Surrounded by other maintained period homes, the five bedroom property features a deep tessellated tiled verandah, a wide arched hallway, timber floors and marble fire places.

Set on 1035 sqm, the property also offers a sun room, bar, cellar, an outside bathroom with sauna and a heated in-ground swimming pool.

Listing agents Tim Blackett and Scott Patterson of Kay & Burton Hawthorn have it listed for March 19 auction.
