The founder and CEO of the Wine Connection Group Michael Trocherie has bought a luxury home in Bronte.

Trocherie paid $7.6 million for the tri-level home from solicitor Bob Leitch.

There's a private courtyard nestled amongst established gardens at the property sold through Mark McPherson of McGrath Coogee.

The French expat founded the wine retailing company in 1998. It is now backed by private equity firm Abraaj Group with Michael planning to conquer South East Asia.

The 354 sqm features multiple entertaining terraces which overlook the Deane family near beachfront that sold last week for $8.05 million.
