Childcare entrepreneur Stephanie Wakefield's lavishly renovated Hampton property fetched $1.66 million at weekend auction.

The Banks Avenue home was listed with $1.5 million plus hopes, which were then revised up to $1.6 million plus by Wakefield who developed her business, My Super Nanny, five years ago while studying.

Her company, which connects nannys and babysitters with families, is soon set to launch in the US.

The two-storey, three bedroom home comes with a study. There's timber flooring, high ceilings, swish fixtures and a rear deck at the 2012 built house that traded at $1.385 million in early 2014.

Justin Follett, of Follett & Co, secured the weekend result.
