St Kilda office signals start of McGrath Estate Agents southern incursion

Listed residential real estate group, McGrath Estate Agents has opened their first Melbourne office in beachside St Kilda, as part of the group’s strategic move to establish a presence in Victoria.

The company intends opening a further three offices early in 2016.

The Melbourne franchise opening takes the current office count across the East Coast of Australia to 78.

"Entering the Victorian market has been a considered move by McGrath," its chief executive John McGrath said adding it was a natural progression.

The McGrath St Kilda team of 23 will be led by Josh Stirling and Michael Townsend in sales, and property manager Shane Goldfard who have successfully operated in the area for the last six years as directors at Hodges St Kilda.

Josh Stirling says he began his love affair with real estate at the age of 18.

“Real estate is not just about property it is really about people, we don’t just sell houses we help change people’s lives, that’s why I love it”

Steve Feren is passionate about the St Kilda Football Club and suggest that the ultimate success is not too far away for his AFL team. 

The listed agency shares were trading at $1.84 this morning, the first day of its second week after is floating.
