The Quirindi property, Little Kickerbell with lavender field on the NSW Liverpool Plains, has been listed for December 5 onsite auction.

The historic homestead, originally built by the Australian pioneering Blaxland family in 1835, has been recently renovated by Sue Stone and John Cockburn.

The weatherboard and stone homestead has six bedrooms with five fireplaces. There's a billiard room and large dining room which has the capacity to seat up to 40 people.

It has wrap around verandas overlooking gardens that come with an old meat house, ideal for a studio.

The home and infrastructure lend themselves to country home stay accommodation.

Little Kickerbell is a three hour drive from Newcastle and just under 4 hours' drive north-west of Sydney at 2729 Bundella Road.

The property consists of 13 ha highly suited to the equestrian enthusiast. The property has the capacity to carry about 15 head of cattle.
