Markdel, the Mornington Peninsula thoroughbred training facility where Makybe Diva prepared for two of her three Melbourne Cup triumphs has been listed for sale by the Freedman brothers.

Makybe Diva trainer Lee Freedman and his brothers Richard, Michael and Anthony designed and built the 38-hectare Fingal property in 2002.

They then departed the farm in stages with Anthony the last to go in late 2012, when he moved his stables to Flemington.

Markdel includes an 85-box stable complex, a 1200-metre sand-based grass track, an 1800-metre rising railed sand track and a heated horse swimming pool among its many facilities and amenities.

Markdel is being marketed by Colliers International's agent Shane McIntyre. It was listed mid-year.
