NSW units lead national regional rental growth: CoreLogic RP Data

The highest rental growth regions for units in the September quarter were in NSW's mid-north coast, the Victorian suburb of Wimmera, Queensland's south west, outer Adelaide in South Australia and the Tasmanian suburb of Mersey-Lyell, according to CoreLogic RP Data.

CoreLogic RP Data's Quarterly Regional Market Rental Review to September found unit rents on NSW's mid-north coast increased by 3.2% over the quarter to $320/week and rents in Victoria's Wimmera increased by 2.5% over the quarter to $205/week.

South west Queensland rents increased by 11.8% over the quarter to $308/week, outer Adelaide rents increased by 4.0% over the quarter to $260/week and rents in WA's central increased by 5.6% over the quarter to $265/week.

The Tasmanian suburb of Mersey-Lyell rents increased by 4.5% over the quarter to $230/w.
