House sales in China still follow certain distinct patterns, despite the recent overall downturn.

The holiday associated with the new lunar year have a sales pattern too.

Macquarie Wealth Research, with CREIS, have charted the Tier 1 (T1) cities - noting sales during the week around Chinese New Year always posted a week on week decline over past three years, followed by a sharp week on week rebound.

The T1 cities include Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing and Shenzhen.
