Gold Logie award-winning television personality and comedian Denise Drysdale secured $870,000 for her Neerim North, Gippsland retreat, which failed to sell on its initial 2012 listing.

Daffodill Hill sold ahead of its scheduled late 2014 auction. This week in her role as lifestyle coach, Denise "Ding Dong" Drysdale is promoting Australia’s first carbon positive pop-up home in Melbourne's City Square.

Fronting for the 16th annual Sustainable Living Festival, Drysdale – who recently downsized to pursue the simple life herself – says it is important the human race adopt a lighter footprint.

It seems Drysdale hasn't yet embarked on an envisaged sea-change, with her previously stated desired nomadic search for warmer weather.

She signalled we'd be seeing her head north in her car until she found the right place to set up her new home.

Drysdale once moved to Merimbula but found it too cold in winter, so she was thinking of Tweed Heads but will research its weather before she decides.

Perched high on a hillside, the Neerim North property (pictured in the gallery above) is a four-hectare retreat at with a grand bluestone residence built from the local quarry.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom architecturally designed residence comes with a sunken lounge with open fireplace.

The property comes with dam and shelter for livestock.

But it sold through David Clark at Clark First National Drouin.

At one stage Denise was looking for $1.3 million.
