Photography is crucial for property marketing. Aerial photos have become the norm for the marketing of the most prized residential possessions in Australia.

Tim Mooney has been a professional photographer for 37 years since borrowing his grandfather's camera in 1969 to take photos of Neil Armstrong's lunar walk from the television.

His aerial photographic skills were developed in the early '80s and since then he has photographed around the world.

He is always heading skyward again, especially over Sydney Harbour unlocking the aerial aspect of properties along the coast from Cronulla to Palm Beach, and as far inland as Homebush. His photo library extends up and down the NSW coast.

"The best time to photograph a Sydney golf course is in the lower light of the morning or afternoon," he said.

Here we see the late afternoon shadows on a perfectly groomed Australian Golf Club, Kensington, Sydney, Australia.

"Long shadows add an immense amount of drama to an image," said Mooney.

"They give buildings and people relative dimension.

"The very high resolution camera used lets me zoom right into the two golfers on the putting green."
