The Frankston apartment of late football legend Tom Hafey has been listed with $250,000 plus hopes.

His widow Maureen has listed the two bedroom apartment, which is located 50 metres from the beach in Frankston.

The ground floor apartment has courtyards off each bedroom and access to the Kananook walking track.

The apartment at 1/392 Nepean Highway, Frankston has been listed by Hockingstuart agent Aaron Froling for December 13 auction.

There was a $265,000 sale of a two bedroom 68 square metre ground floor apartment in August.

Tom Hafey, who died in May, aged 82, led the Richmond Tigers to four VFL premierships in the late 1960s and 70s.

Hafey was named coach of the Tigers' team of the century and in 1996 was a founding inductee into the Australian Football Hall of Fame.

He also coached Collingwood, Geelong and Sydney.
