A 1950s Bardwell Park home with its own ballroom has been listed for 13 December auction.

The property at 29 Slade Street was formerly owned by dancer Joan Allen, who reportedly helped popularise Latin American dancing in Australia in the late 1940s.

The ballroom in the house was purpose built for the Joan Allen Dance Studio.

Joan Allen, whose married name was Banister, died in April last year.

Raine & Horne’s Gerry Bernhardt has the Bardwell Park property offering.
