The celebrated Olympic swimmer Daniel Kowalski has listed his Port Melbourne pad for auction, with the marketing indicating it is now under contract.

The 6a Clay Street townhouse has two bedrooms, with two bathrooms, separated by a home office.

Gerald Betts of RT Edgar had the 29 November auction listing with price hopes above $900,000.

It cost $360,000 in 1999.

Kowalski won one silver and two bronze medals at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and shared the gold medal for the 4x200 metre relay at the Sydney 2000 Games.
