The Commonwealth Bank newly promoted international financial services head Robert Jesudason and wife, Laura Hui, have listed their contemporary Paddington residence as they head back to Hong Kong.

There are $5.8 million-plus hopes for the Goodhope Street house built in 2011.

The four-bedroom residence on the 257 square metre block was designed by the late architect Bernard Teh-Howell.

The interiors are unmistakably by Greg Natale.

It last traded in 2012 for $4,906,000.

The three-storey property comes with double garage and a pool.

It has been listed through Bill Malouf of LJ Hooker Double Bay.

Rob Jesudason had been the Commonwealth Bank’s group executive, group strategic development with responsibility for group strategy, mergers and acquisitions and also business productivity improvement.

He joined in December 2011 around the time he bought the house using Chris Koren, a Melbourne-based buyer's agent.

Prior to joining CBA, Jesudason was managing director of Credit Suisse and head of global emerging markets team within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), based in Hong Kong. FIG spans the financial institutions coverage teams across APAC, CEEMEA and Latin America.

Jesudason joined Credit Suisse in October 2007 as head of the APAC Financial Institutions Group from JP Morgan, where he was a managing director in the Asian special situations group responsible for investments in financial services. Prior to this, Rob worked at Barclays PLC as Global Head of Corporate Development.

Earlier in his career, Jesudason worked at GE Capital both in their European and Japanese M&A teams and within their insurance business. He was an associate principal in McKinsey's Corporate Finance and Strategy practice.

Jesudason holds a Bachelor of Science in managerial and administrative studies from Aston University in Birmingham, UK. He is married with two daughters.

The Goodhope Street property was once the site of the Elio Upholstery business.
