Did the UK Grand Designs houses make a profit?

Digging out some of the UK Grand Designs properties of the past, PrimeLocationBlog asks whether or not they made a profit.

The results they came up with certainly looked impressive, even though we'd have been keen to see some more the costs and numbers involved - such as marketing costs - rather than just the build costs.

For instance, one Bristol property, featured on Grand Designs in 2008, cost £350,000 to build (plus £425,000 for the land). PrimeLocationBlog says that the current asking price is £1,500,000.
