1. How long have you been in the industry?

Coming up to three years, focusing on Melbourne CBD sales

2. What’s happening in the area you specialise in?

Local investors are coming back into the market in a big way due to low interest rates and the easy access to borrow funds for prime CBD properties. Further, Asian investors and developers are entering our market every day looking for more development sites and investments in absolute prime locations.

3. Describe the most interesting property you have sold?

Our team recently sold a two-storey freestanding Victorian-style building that was offered for the first time in over 50 years and sold on a yield of 3.48%.

4. What are the ingredients to being successful in your job?

You must be honest, patient and fully committed to staying focussed on the main objective, achieving the best possible result for your client.

5. What aspects of your role do you enjoy the most?

Relationship building. In this market you get to deal with high net-worth private individuals and developers, both local and offshore, institutions and small mum and dad investors wanting to buy through their superfunds. The ability to meet so many different personalities on a daily basis and build new relationships with the opportunity to develop long term relationships brings a great satisfaction to the job and to life in general.

6. Where would invest a spare $750,000?

I would find a few mates with the same cash and invest together in a prime Collins Street retail investment.

7. Which football team do you support?

Carlton. Not having a great year but I have faith – “they know we’re coming”!

8. What’s your favourite app or techno gadget?

Can’t go past the AFL app. I can’t get through a weekend without checking DreamTeam scores every five minutes

9. How do you use social media?

I use LinkedIn to be in touch with my colleagues, clients and to build my professional profile within the industry. Social media is a great way to keep in touch with people and build relationships.
