A four-bedroom John Burgess-designed home in Longueville sold prior to its recent scheduled auction.

It was listed with a price guide of $3.25 million plus.

Listing agent James Bennett of Belle Property Lane Cove said it sold “quite comfortably” above $3 million - the highest non-waterfront sale in the street.

Situated on 623 square metres, the William Edward Street property was built in 2010.

A large centrally located Blackbutt tree on the site was kept and was used as a primary design trigger.

The three level residence includes three bathrooms and boasts glass and natural materials throughout.

The property also features Zen inspired outdoor relaxation spaces, a heated pool and an entertainers' terrace.

John Burgess Architects was established in Byron Bay in 1990 and has designed iconic developments including Rae’s on Wategos and the historic Orient Hotel.

It was listed through Simon Harrison and James Bennett of Belle Property Lane Cove.

The median house price in Longueville is $2 million, according to RP Data
