Winter auctions on track with last year: RP Data

Scheduled auctions for this week are almost on par with the same time last year, with 904 auctions scheduled across the capital cities, according to RP Data.

At the same time last year, there were 875 auctions.

The chillier weather saw a revised figure of 999 auctions held last week, down from 1,572 the previous week.

The clearance rate also dropped slightly from 66.9% the previous week to 65.3% last week.

At the same time last year the clearance rate was substantially lower at 47.3%.

Scheduled auctions in Melbourne dropped slightly to 391 this week, down from a revised figure of 445 auctions last week and 719 the previous week.

Melbourne’s clearance rate dropped to 65.9% last week, down from 71.1% the week prior.

At the same time last year the clearance rate was 46.8% and there were 403 auctions.

There are 346 scheduled auctions in Sydney this week, slightly down from the revised figure of 353 last week and 594 auctions the previous week.

However, the clearance rate increased last week to 74.5%, up from 69.1% the previous week.

At the same time last year there were 282 auctions and a clearance rate of 56.8%.
