The home of the late producer and director Roger Mirams in Great Mackerel Beach has sold prior to its July 21 auction.

It was listed with a $1.15 million plus price guide.

Mirams is fondly remembered for the production of the children’s television show Search for Treasure Island, with some of the paraphernalia of the shows set still in the home.

The late Roger Mirams is a grandfather of television newsreader Amelia Adams, presenter of Nine Morning News & Nine Afternoon News.

Mirams and his wife Irene purchased the home in 1986 for $152,000.

The three-bedroom weatherboard home boasts views over Pittwater and can only be accessed via a ferry from Palm Beach.

Mirams passed away in 2004 and his wife wants to downsize.

The exact price is undisclosed but the price guide reflects an annual appreciation rate of approximately 7%.

The property was listed with Kathryn Hall of Kathryn Hall Real Estate. The property had its own facebook page.
